Celebrating Community - Series
Celebrating Community is one of those projects where, as a filmmaker, I learn so much.
Aliraza and Rabab approached me with one goal in mind - to raise awareness about supporting small businesses. They wanted to showcase different small businesses in the community and some of their favourite products. When we came in, we wanted to frame the film into a story, and we tied the project in with the Islamic holy month of Ramadhan.
This project went on to get close to 4,000 views on Instagram, and a lot of the businesses featured received a lot of attention from new potential customers. Many viewers were asking for more videos, and many new businesses reached out wanting to be involved. This project was a success beyond what we imagined!
It was such a generous and amazing project, that I knew I had to be on board. After this project, I valued supporting other small businesses so much more.
