Living in Despair - Fundraising Film

Living in Despair is a short film created to raise funds to support Hazara Afghans and bring them to Canada through private sponsorship.

For generations, the Hazara population has been discriminated against by many different groups, mostly due to their religious beliefs. With the situation in Afghanistan, a group in Toronto, Ontario got together to raise funds in order to sponsor Hazara families, women and children to come and resettle here, as their lives are constantly in danger.

For this film, we spoke to Halima Bahman, who runs the Hazara Collective and was in Afghanistan during the Maazar e Sharif massacre. Her story is haunting, and is a reminder that there are people out there who currently need our help urgently, as their lives are in constant threat.
