Our Journey Home - Short Film
Our Journey Home is a film about Samanah Fatemah’s birth. Due to complications during pregnancy, Samanah Fatemah was born 54 days before she was due, and spent that time in the NICU. The story follows Abbass-Ali, Samanah’s father, who talks about the need to hold back any excitement.
Samanah Fatemah finally returned home and saw her family for the first time. This film captures that beautiful moment.
We filmed in Downtown Toronto at Princess Margaret Hospital, and then carried on to film the rest at Vaughan and Maple, Ontario. Due to the privacy of the film, the video above is the trailer to the full film.
