Samana and Wahid - Wedding Film

I started documenting Samana and Wahid’s love story at their Nikkah last year in March, and they are honestly such an amazing and inspiring couple. They encapsulate that love that you always hear about - the one that’s undying and beyond what we can truly understand. I really believe these two souls were meant to be together.

It was such an honour to be asked to document their wedding celebrations this year and to be able to continue that story. We first created a short film about their love story to be played at the reception, and I wanted to start the film off there.

The Mehndi took place at Samana’s house in Kleinburg, the Holud took place at the Grand Cinnamon Banquet Hall (though it looked incredibly marvellous), and the reception took place at Madison’s Greenhouse in Newmarket. Each of these events had a very different personality and colour palette, but spoke to their personalities.

Watching their family and friends celebrate with them was amazing and truly beautiful. It reminds you how important love is. It was such a pleasure to attend and add another chapter to their already beautiful love story.
