Video Content for Existing Customers

We focus a lot of our marketing effort on getting new clients, sometimes we forget that there is an audience that already has our attention and wants to support us.

Our existing clients.

Think about it: they’ve already bought from you and they already love your product. There is also a high chance that they’ll buy from you again. So today, I want to talk about creating video content for existing customers.

Watch the video where we use a real life example to talk about making video content for your existing clients.

There are a lot of different types of content you could make, such as holiday videos or branding messages. But today I want to focus on education. If you have a physical product and an e-commerce store, this could really help you.

As a business, you put a lot of thought and care into your product. Sometimes, however, that could leave some questions that your customer might have. In the video above, I talk about how I bought a hat from an online e-commerce store and had tons of questions on how to care for it and how to maintain it.

The first solution is an F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) page. Most businesses already have this, and they are super helpful for the customer and the business (think about all the e-mails you won’t get asking the same question over and over).

But sometimes, text answers can’t help. When it came to my hat, the text answer was a little confusing and hard to visualize, and I didn’t want to take any risks on my new product. This is where visuals come in. And what better visual to use than video?

Using video to answer these questions is great for two reasons.

  1. Your customer can better understand how to solve their problems.

  2. Other customers who bought similar products discover you.

Videos are public, and uploading them to public websites like YouTube allow you to be discovered by new audiences. You can show your expertise in your field to new audiences!

In my case, the company I bought from did not have any videos up. Instead, I found other businesses who sell the same thing that were able to help me.

If you already have an F.A.Q. page, you’re on the right track. But consider turning some of those answers into videos. Can they explain your solution better? Maybe other customers are looking for these answers?

Video is a great way to engage your current customers and keep them happy. And best of all, you can reach new customers! Hopefully this tip helps you and you can put it to good use.

And of course, feel free to contact us if you have any questions! We would love to help.
