Last year, we covered Samana and Wahid’s intimate home nikkah. This year, they’ve decided to throw an event to bring their families together and celebrate their love. Filmed over three days in Caledon, Grand Cinnamon Banquet Hall in Toronto, and Madison's Greenhouse in Newmarket, we got a chance to create a wedding film that continues their love story.

Love Letters to Myself is a poetry book written by Sahara Mehdi, a writer based in Toronto. The book focuses on ideas like high school love and heartbreak, so we wanted to capture her story behind her poems as well as a recitation to demonstrate her power with words.

For their wedding reception, Samana and Wahid asked us to create a short film that highlights their love story and who they are as a couple. We filmed this short teaser at Lake Wilcox and in Markham, capturing them in a very authentic way. This film will premiere at their reception.
